These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Lattice Media Engine platform operated by Lattice Media ("we", "us", "our") at latticemedia.xyz. By creating an account or using the API you agree to these Terms.
Lattice provides image optimization and video transcoding through a REST API and web portal. We process media files you upload, store the results in isolated per-account storage, and return access URLs.
You must provide a valid email address and create a password to use the service. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API keys confidential. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
One person or entity may not maintain more than one free-tier account. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this restriction.
You agree not to use the service to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.
You retain full ownership of the media you upload. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. We do not use your uploads to train models, generate datasets, or for any purpose other than providing the service.
By uploading content you grant us a limited license to process, store, and serve the files as necessary to operate the service on your behalf.
Free-tier accounts are subject to rate and storage limits. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Prices are displayed on the pricing page and may change with 30 days notice.
You may cancel at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial months.
If payment fails, we will retry for up to 14 days. After that, your account may be downgraded to the free tier and files exceeding free-tier storage limits may become inaccessible until payment is resolved.
Processed files are stored until you delete them or close your account. Presigned download URLs expire after 1 hour and must be regenerated. We are not a backup service - you are responsible for maintaining your own copies of important files.
API access is governed by your tier's rate limits. Exceeding rate limits will result in HTTP 429 responses. Persistent abuse may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your API keys.
We may introduce API versioning and deprecate older versions with at least 90 days notice.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible. We are not liable for damages resulting from downtime, data loss, or processing errors.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lattice Media shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill arising out of your use of the service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lattice Media from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
You may close your account at any time through the portal settings. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or at our discretion with reasonable notice.
Upon termination, your files will be deleted within 30 days. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (liability, indemnification, disputes) will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the portal at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration.
